AEW revealed in an official statement that "Hangman" Adam Page sustained a concussion during the main event of Tuesday's Dynamite, and added that he has since been discharged from a local medical facility in Cincinnati.
The statement reads, "Hangman Adam Page was taken tonight by medical personnel to a Cincinnati trauma center and diagnosed with a concussion. He was discharged, but will remain in AEW's concussion protocol.
"AEW and Hangman Page are grateful for the exemplary response and care of staff and local medical personnel, and are appreciative of the love and support of fans everywhere."
Page suffered the injury while wrestling Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title in Dynamite's main event. While charging out of the corner, Page was struck by Moxley with a clothesline, from which Page cut a flip. Upon landing on the canvas, Page remained motionless, and was quickly tended to by referee Paul Turner and Dr. Michael Sampson. Moments later, the match was stopped, and awarded to Moxley via medical decision.
The sudden finish resulted in both the announcers and Moxley stretching for time before going into the presumed planned show ending, where MJF teased cashing in his title shot chip, before deciding not to.
