After being a featured performer in the build up to AEW Double or Nothing on May 30, The Factory’s Anthony Ogogo has been conspicuous by his absence since, last appearing on the June 4 edition of AEW: Dynamite.

According to The Guv’nor himself, he’s recently undergone eye surgery, and will be out of action until it has healed.

Taking to Twitter, Ogogo said:

“I’m gonna hurt ya, @RealBillyGunn I’m going to hurt you! Bruised and a bit banged up but I’m still the hardest bastard in @AEW.”

Ogogo also posted a video of himself from his hospital bed, with his face heavily bandaged cutting a promo on Billy Gunn.

Ogogo has a history of eye concerns, once revealing that a big blow to the head could potentially render him blind and end his pro wrestling career. It is not know at this moment in time what the exact nature of Ogogo’s procedure was, but it wouldn’t be wild to assume that is probably some corrective measure to restore the health of the Olympic boxing medalist’s eye.
