AEW's Brian Cage: I Haven't Reached My Potential Yet

"I'm not getting any younger so the big star moment has to happen pretty soon"

So far in his career, Brian Cage has enjoyed success across multiple companies. He was one of the top stars in Lucha Underground during the show's four seasons and he is a former IMPACT World Champion and X-Division Champion.

The Machine has also been featured in high profile matches in All Elite Wrestling since joining the promotion last year, including Sting's return match and an AEW World Title bout against Jon Moxley. He also picked up a big win over "Hangman" Adam Page on last week's edition of Dynamite.

Despite these successes, Cage feels like he still hasn't reached his potential in the business and he's hoping his "big star moment" comes along soon.

"I feel like my potential hasn't come close to being met yet. I'm trying to get there. To get there, you have to knock these suckers out of the park when you get an opportunity like that. Hopefully, I'll keep doing it and keep getting the opportunity to prove myself. Everyone sees something in me and is like, 'Oh, he'll be a big star.' I've done well for myself, but that big star moment has been on the verge of coming for a very long time. I'm not getting any younger so the big star moment has to happen pretty soon," Cage told the Jobbing Out Podcast.

With the win over Hangman last week, The Machine looks to be on course for a high profile rematch at Double Or Nothing. If AEW will book the match ultimately remains to be seen, though.
