Chris Jericho has fired back at Eric Bischoff's recent criticism of AEW President Tony Khan.

Khan was vocal on social media ahead of AEW Rampage's head-to-head episode on October 15 with a supersized edition of WWE SmackDown. Both shows aired at the same time for 30 minutes from 10 pm ET to 10:30 pm ET and Khan only became more emboldened after Rampage defeated SmackDown in the key 18-49 demographic.

Former WCW President Eric Bischoff was critical of Khan, though, and he told the AEW booker to "shut the f*ck until you're actually competing" before he called AEW going head-to-head with SmackDown a "cosplay competition."

Tony Khan has already responded to Bischoff, calling his criticism "laughable", but former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has now come to his boss' defence.

Replying to a clip of Bischoff's comments on Twitter, Jericho wrote: "Not sure what a 'cosplay competition' is Eric, but @WWE market share has definitely been decreased by @AEW. To the point whenever they forced themselves into 'real head-to-head competition' w us (most recently last Fri) they lost. I'm gonna shut the f*ck up now & keep wrestling."

Jericho and Bischoff have a long history together going back to their time in WCW and WWE. Bischoff has also appeared on AEW Dynamite in several segments with Jericho and The Inner Circle.
