AEW's Cody Rhodes Quits Twitter

The American Nightmare has deleted his account

Cody Rhodes has deleted his Twitter account.

Fans noticed on Monday evening that The American Nightmare's account was no longer active on the social media platform, and upon visiting his profile, users are greeted with an 'This account doesn't exist' message.

Cody quitting Twitter comes after he appeared on Busted Open Radio on November 12 and revealed the 11th was his last day on the platform because of "sniping and negativity."

"Yesterday was my last day on Twitter 'cause of the amount of sniping and negativity on there. I just moved everything over to my Instagram. But I don't even get mad at it 'cause they had X amount of years, two decades, where that was the only product," Cody said.

Rhodes' Instagram account remains active.

The American Nightmare discussed the toxicity of social media in an interview with TV Insider in September and he noted he would remain active to "highlight the positive and the good stuff you see" which was "way easier than calling it quits there."

Rhodes was in action at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 13. He and PAC defeated Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo on the show.
