AEW's Darius Martin Undergoes ACL Surgery

He will be out of action for some time

All Elite Wrestling's Darius Martin has confirmed he has undergone surgery on his ACL.

Martin, who teams with brother Dante in the Top Flight tag-team, took to social media to confirm he had gone under the knife to fix the injury.

Writing on Twitter he said: "Had ACL surgery this morning....First time having surgery and this [anaesthesia] has been hitting my body like a MFer all day.

"Nonetheless, the road to recovery begins. It’ll be long but when I’m back, expect me to be performing at a level you’ve NEVER seen before."

Martin and his brother had been scheduled to compete in the Casino Tag Team Royale on the AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View on March 7, but were removed late in the day due to a reported knee injury. It is presume that he had suffered an ACL tear of some description but neither Martin or AEW have offered more information.

Darius Martin and Dante Martin made their AEW debut on an episode of Dark in October 2020, before making their Dynamite debut on the November 18, 2020 episode, losing to The Young Bucks.
