AEW's Griff Garrison Undergoes Surgery

Griff Garrison has undergone surgery

It may be some time until we see AEW’s Griff Garrison compete in an AEW ring, with Garrison recently undergoing surgery.

Garrison revealed the news on Twitter, although it is currently unknown what Garrison is currently sidelined with, nor when we can expect him to make a return to the ring. Garrison did suggest he’ll be “back in no time” though.

One half of The (Varsity) Blonds with Brian Pillman Jr., Garrison last wrestled for AEW on October 21, teaming with Pillman in a loss against The Factory’s QT Marshall and Cole Karter on AEW Dark.

The injury seemingly caps off a disappointing year for Garrison, with Griff and Pillman barely featured on AEW TV this year, and doing the job on the rare occasions they appear on Dynamite or Rampage. This is in stark comparison to 2021, when The Varsity Blonds were regularly featured in AEW, and were quietly making their way up the tag team rankings.

Garrison is believed to have signed with AEW in 2020, but was not officially revealed to be signed with the company until 2021.
