AEW's Nigel McGuinness YouTube Compilation Briefly Taken Down By WWE Copyright Strike

WWE take down AEW YouTube video on copyright grounds

All Elite Wrestling and WWE briefly battled over a YouTube video on Monday night.

The 'Best of Nigel McGuinness, Former ROH World Champion!' ROH Timelines video was added to All Elite Wrestling's YouTube channel on Tuesday, September 17. The video is simply an almost 12-hour compilation of classic Nigel McGuinness matches from his time in Ring of Honor, featuring clashes against the likes of Samoa Joe, Takeshi Morishima, Kevin Steen, and many matches against Bryan Danielson.

The YouTube video was briefly taken down on Monday, however, after WWE blocked it on copyright grounds. Which footage, in particular, WWE took exception to is unknown but the compilation was only down for a couple of hours before it became available again.

All Elite Wrestling uploaded the compilation ahead of Nigel McGuinness' first singles match in 13 years when he takes on Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. The match will emanate from New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, September 25.

McGuinness made his in-ring return in the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In and he has since revealed why he decided to retire in 2011
