Inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion Riho is seemingly out with an arm injury.

Riho last wrestled on AEW’s Battle of the Belts special on January 8, losing to Britt Baker in an AEW Women’s World Title encounter, and Riho has taken to Twitter, posting a picture of herself with her right arm in a sling, with the caption “I’m taking a rest a little.”

There’s been no official word as to the nature of Riho’s injury, nor how long she will be out of action for, but her Tweet garnered ‘get well soon’ messages from AEW’s Aubrey Edwards and Sonny Kiss, amongst others.

A part of AEW since 2019, Riho missed the majority of AEW’s shows in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, instead wrestling in Japan for World Wonder Ring Stardom. Riho made her return to AEW in March 2021 on the ‘buy-in’ pre-show for Revolution 2021, and took another short hiatus in late Spring before returning at Double or Nothing’s buy-in, losing to NWA Women’s World Champion Serena Deeb.
