AEW Sign Top Indy Star

AEW have made another signing to help bolster their women’s division, and according to a report from Fightful Select, this signature actually came several months back. Former OVW Women’s Champion Megan Bayne was a top prospect on the independent scene, and the 25 year old has been snapped up by AEW.

Over the last few months, Bayne has been competing in the Stardom promotion, though during her stint there she has been under AEW contract. The report makes note that those in Stardom don’t agree with the notion that she was “sent” there on an excursion, though it is confirmed by Fightful that she has been with AEW for a little while now. 

Bayne previously wrestled on several episodes of AEW Dark back in 2021, and most recently competed in an AEW Rampage dark match in 2023, but aside from that she has yet to appear or compete on AEW programming. There are reportedly no creative plans currently for Bayne in the company, which could explain her bookings in Stardom.
