AEW Tag Team Renamed

RIP Bear Country

An All Elite Wrestling tag team have been renamed, a report from F4W Online noted.

AEW held their latest set of Dark tapings on Sunday at Orlando's Universal Studios and it was revealed that Bear Country had been renamed as The Iron Savages. The men formerly known as Bear Bronson and Bear Boulder also now have a new manager in JT Davidson.

The Iron Savages had their first match at the taping against Sean Maluta and Brent Austin but the match won't air as Austin was injured. The bout was redone later in the show with The Iron Savages defeating Sean Maluta and Manny Lo. JT Davidson told Tony Schiavone post-match that Bear Country had to change and he will lead the savages as they take over AEW.

The newly-renamed tag team then scored one final win, this time against Vary Morales and the former No Way Jose who was making his AEW debut.

The Iron Savages have been a part of AEW since late 2020 and they signed with the promotion in May of 2021. The former Bear Country have very much become an enhancement tag team, though, picking up wins on Dark and Dark: Elevation but losing on TV.
