AEW Talent Pulled From Tag Team Title Tournament Following Broken Jaw

An AEW talent has revealed an unfortunate injury in the build-up to the tag team tournament.

AEW only recently announced a tag title tournament following the main event of Revolution 2024. But it looks as though plans will already have to change, as one of the planned entrants revealed an unfortunate injury on Twitter.

Anthony Henry, one half of the WorkHorsemen alongside JD Drake, posted last night:

"Update: Absolutely gutted. In last night's match against Bryan Keith, I took a knee strike that broke my jaw. The #workhorsemen had some exciting things coming up. One of which was the @AEW tag team tournament, which we can now not be involved in. I will have surgery soon."

The tournament is set to begin on this week's episode of Collision and will feature teams such as the Young Bucks, Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta, and FTR.

The AEW World Tag Team Championships were vacated following the main event of Revolution, which saw Sting and Darby Allin retain against the Bucks in the Icon's last-ever professional wrestling match.

The tournament final could well take place at AEW's newest pay-per-view, Dynasty, which was announced during Revolution. The show will take place on April 21 in St. Louis, Missouri.
