AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament - Japan Bracket Round One Results
The first round of matches from the Japanese bracket aired on YouTube
AEW’s Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament began on last week’s AEW: Dynamite, with Thunder Rosa defeating Leyla Hirsch in a first round bout. Since then, AEW has aired the full first round of the Japanese bracket on YouTube, with Excalibur providing commentary.
The matches have been taped at the Ice Ribbon Dojo in Saitama, Japan, and it is believed that AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida has helped book the Japanese side of the tournament. No word yet on if the full Japanese bracket has been taped, or if it is only the first round in the can so far.
It has also been announced that the finals of the tournament will take place at AEW Revolution on March 7, 2021.
