AEW Women's Title Match Announced For Night 2 Of Fyter Fest

Britt Baker makes her first title defense

AEW Women's champion Britt Baker's first title defense has been announced, and it will take place on the second night of Fyter Fest on Wednesday, July 21 in suburban Dallas, TX.

It was announced during Saturday night's Dynamite that Baker will defend her title against former Women's champion Nyla Rose.

Rose disrupted Baker's championship ceremony on the Dynamite following Double or Nothing. A tag team match was later announced for this coming Wednesday's Dynamite, pitting Baker and Rebel against Rose and Vickie Guerrero.

Rose reigned as Women's champion from February 12 to May 23, 2020. Her lone successful defense of the title came just before the pandemic began, when she retained over Kris Statlander at the 2020 Revolution in Chicago.

The second night of Fyter Fest will be AEW's third event back on the road. The first new event away from Jacksonville is Road Rager on July 7 in Miami, followed by Fyter Fest night one on July 14 in Cedar Park, TX. The July 28 Dynamite will be "Fight For the Fallen", and takes place in Charlotte.
