AEW Women's World Title Match Set For Dynamite

On last week’s landmark 200th episode of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida became a two-time AEW Women’s World Champion when she defeated Toni Storm in the main event of the show. Her time for celebration will be cut short as her first title defence has already been announced.

It was revealed that Anna Jay would be going head-to-head with Hikaru Shida next week, which could make for a busy Wednesday night for the challenger, as it was also confirmed that the Jericho Appreciation Society “mandatory meeting” would also be taking place on the August 9th edition of Dynamite. It isn’t clear whether Jay will be present for that given this title match.

The card for the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite looks like this;
