AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Final Pulled From Full Gear

A change to AEW Full Gear

A major match has been pulled from All Elite Wrestling's upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view on Saturday, November 19.

The final of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament was originally scheduled to take place at Full Gear but Tony Khan announced during the pre-Full Gear media call that the match had been pushed to the Wednesday, November 23 edition of Dynamite.

A delay in the tournament occurred after Ricky Starks was legitimately injured and not cleared to face Lance Archer in his first-round match on last week's episode of AEW Rampage. Starks was written off TV with a backstage attack from The Murderhawk Monster.

Archer and Starks will now clash on tonight's episode of Rampage, with the winner advancing to the Full Gear pre-show to take on Brian Cage in the semifinals. Instead of having the winner of that match face Ethan Page in the final on the main pay-per-view, Khan instead simply opted to move the match to Dynamite.

2022 is AEW's third World Title Eliminator Tournament. The first in 2020 was won by Kenny Omega, who went on to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Winter is Coming. Bryan Danielson won the tournament last year but his AEW World Title match against Hangman Page at Winter is Coming went to a time-limit draw.
