Sadiq Khan can't escape pro wrestling executives.

AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed on Wednesday that he had met with London Mayor Sadiq Khan. What exactly they discussed is unknown beyond that Tony and Sadiq unveiled an AEW World Title belt with Fulham FC side plates.

"Thank you all who watch @AEW! It was great to see the Mayor of London @SadiqKhan, and I was honored to stand with him to unveil the AEW World Championship belt with the special @FulhamFC side plates! See you all TONIGHT for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, live moments from NOW!" Tony Khan tweeted.

Outside of his AEW and Jacksonville Jaguars commitments, Tony Khan is also the Director of Football at Fulham FC. Khan has held two major pro wrestling events in London in All In 2023 and All In 2024, with both shows emanating from Wembley Stadium. AEW will return to London in 2025 for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

More pro wrestling shows could be coming to London as Sadiq Khan met with WWE's Triple H and Nick Khan earlier this year to discuss bringing WrestleMania to the UK's capital, during which the Mayor of London was gifted a comically small belt. Both sides noted they planned to hold further talks to make WrestleMania a reality.
