Athena version of ROH Women's World Title introduced in October 2024

11 years on from the spinner version of the WWE Championship being retired, there is a new spinning title belt in professional wrestling.

Athena celebrated her record-breaking reign as ROH Women's World Champion on Thursday night's edition of ROH TV, during which Lexy Nair unveiled a new version of Athena's title.

As can be seen above, the new title featured an image of Athena holding the ROH Women's World Championship as a spinning centrepiece.

The segment quickly fell into chaos, though, as Billy Starkz walked out on Athena after the champion expressed her unhappiness with the celebration. This brought out Abadon, who proceeded to take out Athena by smashing her face into a cake.

Athena became the longest reigning champion in Ring of Honor's history in September when she passed Samoa Joe's 645-day reign with the ROH World Title from March 2003 until December 2004.

Athena's ROH Women's World Title reign currently sits at 685 days. She has been champion since defeating Mercedes Martinez for the title at Final Battle in December 2022. Athena has defended the title against the likes of Willow Nightingale, Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose, and Queen Aminata.
