AJ Lee Finished With WWE For The Time Being

AJ Lee is finished with WWE for the time being following her match at WrestleMania 42.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that AJ Lee's creative with WWE is effectively done. That doesn't mean she is necessarily done with WWE completely, though. There is hope within the company that she will work more programmes and matches in the future, with there being some hope she could make appearances for major WWE events like SummerSlam.

After being retired as an active in-ring competitor for 10 years, AJ Lee made her return to WWE in September 2025. This led to a tag team match at Wrestlepalooza where Lee and husband CM Punk defeated the husband and wife duo of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Lynch and Lee continued to feud, with AJ making Lynch submit to the Black Widow to win WarGames at Survivor Series. AJ then defeated Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental Title at Elimination Chamber and held the belt until WrestleMania 42, when she dropped the championship back to Becky Lynch.

Across her recent WWE run, AJ Lee only had one match that didn't involve Becky Lynch in a singles match against Bayley on the March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw.
