AJ Lee Taking Wrestling Return 'Slowly'
She is currently involved in a non-wrestling capacity with WOW: Women of Wrestling
April Mendez, best known as former WWE star AJ Lee, has said she is taking her return to wrestling 'slowly'.
Mendez is getting back into the business as a producer and commentator for WOW: Women of Wrestling, leading some to suggest an in-ring return may be on the horizon.
The three-time Divas Champion recently spoke with MMA Uncaged and revealed that, while she does have people trying to convince her to do more in wrestling, she is happy going at her own pace, saying:
"But all of the bugs of wrestling and all those things, there are definitely many people in my ear, trying to get me to do things and we're gonna take it slow. We're going to start with WOW, we're gonna start with commentating and producing, and, you know, just one step at a time".
Mendez hasn't wrestled since the March 30, 2015 episode of Raw, where she teamed up with Paige & Naomi to defeat Natalya and The Bellas.
