Pro wrestler AJ Mana has been fired from his day job and is no longer a part of KnoxK Pro Wrestling Academy following his involvement in the incident which saw Raja Jackson - the son of former UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson" - punch Syko Stu 21 times at a KnokX Pro show on Saturday, August 23.
AJ Mana invited Raja Jackson to the KnokX Pro event and he was filmed on Jackson's Kick stream encouraging Jackson to "give Stu a receipt" following an altercation in which Syko Stu mistook Jackson for a wrestler and hit him with a beer can. Stu promptly apologised after realising Jackson wasn't a fellow wrestler, and Raja only shook Stu's hand after it was agreed the altercation would be turned into an angle on the show in which Raja would interfere in Stu's match.
This resulted in Jackson slamming Stu to the mat during his match, rendering him unconscious, before the son of Rampage Jackson mounted Stu and punched him 21 times before he was pulled away. AJ Mana was the wrestler who called Raja after the incident to tell him that Stu had "flatlined."
AJ Mana claimed in an initial statement that he was in character on the Kick stream, and the wrestler has since noted on the F Y'all Podcast that he was fired from his day job after footage of Raja Jackson's attack on Syko Stu was published on TMZ.
"For those that are offended at the fact that I just told the truth, f**k you, because now my f**king life is ruined over your lies. So f**k you...I got a call from my f**king job, 'We saw the TMZ video. You're an accessory to an attempted murder. We gotta let you go.' I can't wrestle anymore," Mana said.
Syko Stu remains hospitalised. He is dealing with serious injuries, although his condition is not life-threatening. The Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the incident, but KnokX Pro have encouraged wrestlers not to cooperate with the investigation without speaking to them first.
KnokX Pro have been dropped as an affiliated school with the WWE ID programme since the Raja Jackson incident.
