AJ Styles And Omos Capture Raw Tag Team Titles At WrestleMania 37
Styles reaches a golden milestone
AJ Styles and Omos are your new Raw Tag Team champions, after defeating Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day on night one of WrestleMania 37 in Tampa.
The entire early portion of the match centered around Woods and Kingston doing everything they could to keep Styles from tagging Omos. Styles held his own in spots, but was constantly cut off from making the tag whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Finally, Omos got the tag and proceeded to dominate both opponents with simple power moves. At one point, Styles even performed the Phenomenal Forearm off of Omos' shoulders.
For the finish, Omos performed a sheer drop spinebuster on Kingston, after lifting him up from under his armpits.
With the win, Omos becomes the first person to win a WWE title belt in their first main roster match since Paige became Divas champion in her Raw debut in April of 2014.
Styles, meanwhile, captures first WWE Tag Team title of any sort. He becomes the thirty-second man to win WWE's triple crown, and the first since Drew McIntyre won the WWE title at last year's WrestleMania.
