Report: Alberto El Patron Receives Trial Date

He was indicted by a grand jury last week...

Last week, the Bexar County, Texas District Attorney's office announced Alberto El Patron (Jose Rodriguez Chucuan) had been indicted by a grand jury on one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault.

No trial date was set at the time, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported El Patron's trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 25, 2021.

The former WWE Champion was arrested in May on charges of sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping. The police report obtained by TMZ Sports stated the accuser told authorities El Patron kidnapped and sexually assaulted her on May 3 and May 4 over a 16-hour period. Police also noticed multiple bruises on the woman's arms, face, legs and neck which were allegedly caused by El Patron.

The former WWE Superstar could face life in prison if he is convicted. Aggravated kidnapping of the first degree in Texas carries a maximum sentence of 99 years, while a sexual assault of the first-degree conviction would result in a minimum two-year sentence.
