Aleister Black is reportedly scheduled to be on the receiving end of a push on Friday Night SmackDown.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, talks within WWE creative have noted the company want to raise Black's profile moving forward on SmackDown. WWE are planning to push Black as the company have been happy with his work and merchandise sales since the former NXT Champion's return on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 41.

WWE wanting to push Black is reportedly the reason behind him interacting with so many different wrestlers on SmackDown in recent weeks, with Black coming face to face with Ron Killings and Damian Priest on just last week's SmackDown alone.

It has been expected for several months that Black would receive a push upon his WWE return, with it being noted shortly after Black finished up with All Elite Wrestling that WWE saw him as a possible top singles act. The likes of Triple H and Paul Heyman were notable supporters of Black during his first run with the company from 2016 to April 2021.
