Malakai Black could be in line for a push if he returns to WWE.

Reports in recent weeks have noted that Malakai Black's contract with All Elite Wrestling has either already expired or is expiring in the near future. Regardless, Black is believed to be done with the promotion and he is expected to return to WWE when he is able to do so.

Malakai Black seemingly won't just be utilised as a mid-card talent, though. According to PWTorch, influential people in WWE are big fans of Malakai Black and see him as a possible top singles act in the company. PWTorch also noted that Black is more open to a WWE return due to Triple H being in charge of creative as opposed to Vince McMahon.

Triple H notably pushed Black (then Aleister Black) in NXT. Paul Heyman was also a big supporter of Malakai Black while he was Executive Director of Monday Night Raw to the point Black was reportedly one of the final names under consideration to win the 2020 Royal Rumble before the company decided upon Drew McIntyre.

During his time in NXT, Aleister Black had one reign as NXT Champion. He also won the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Ricochet.
