Alex Shelley Crowned New IMPACT World Champion At Against All Odds
Alex Shelley is the new IMPACT World Champion
For the first time in his career, Alex Shelley has won a major world championship. At IMPACT Wrestling’s Against All Odds event, Shelley took on Steve Maclin for the IMPACT World Championship, and in quite a surprise, he won the match and the title.
The main event of Against All Odds was a back and forth bout between two great wrestlers, and the pair dished out some big moves and had close near falls towards the end of the contest. In the closing stages, Shelley kicked out of the KIA, but he managed to turn things around soon after and send Maclin crashing into the previously exposed turnbuckle to gain a timely advantage. Shelley hit his Shell Shock finishing move and managed to get Maclin down for the three count to become the brand-new IMPACT World Champion.
In a lovely post-match moment, his Motor City Machine Gun partner Chris Sabin came out with his newly won X-Division Championship, with the pair celebrating climbing the IMPACT Wrestling mountain together in one night.
