Alexa Bliss is reportedly set to take 'a few months' off from WWE.
Wrestling Inc. is reporting that Bliss is set to take a spell away from WWE and will be written off the promotion's television. The report says that Bliss will be away for 'a few months'.
Bliss competed for the Raw Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair at WWE Extreme Rules 2021 on Sunday, losing the match against The Queen. Flair has made a point of trying to push Bliss back into her former self, as opposed to the current gimmick, and ripped up Lilly the doll at the close of the bout.
Flair said after the match: "Ripping up Lilly was a wakeup call. A wakeup call to remind her that she’s still a champion at heart."
WWE have not confirmed that Bliss will be taking any time away but the former SmackDown and Raw Women's Champion was not involved in the September 27 episode of WWE Raw.
Bliss has portrayed her current gimmick on WWE television for about a year, having started the transition during her interactions with 'The Fiend' in 2020.
