Alundra Blayze Blames Trish Stratus For Setting Women's Wrestling Back Years

Alundra Blayze says Trish Stratus set women's wrestling back

Trish Stratus is often regarded as one of the greatest and most influential women’s professional wrestlers of all time, but not everyone shares that sentiment, including fellow iconic name of women’s wrestling, Alundra Blayze.

On twitter, the former Women’s Champion sent some scathing words in the way of Stratus.

Trish has set the women back and turned them into a sideshow after all the work I did to get the women respected and legitimize them as the superstars that they are.

Do you really think I literally threw that title in the trash without a plan of longevity and meaning?

Trish brought in the blueprint that WWE used for decades that had to be UNDONE by the women who were inspired by men and the women that came before her. Trish made room for the Bella Twins and others, but I built a foundation for the 4 Horsewomen.”

Given that Stratus is giving similar tirades on WWE programming at the moment, it seems as though Blayze is simply jumping on the back of that and having some good-natured kayfabe fun with this statement.
