TNA’s debut on AMC this week was notable in more ways than one. While it was a historic night for the promotion which featured some surprise appearances from new signings in Elayna Black (the former Cora Jade), The Righteous, and Daria Rae (the former Sonya Deville), plus a brand new TNA World Heavyweight Champion crowned in Mike Santana, who overcame Frankie Kazarian in the main event of the show, and an unexpected cameo from Dixie Carter, the show received plenty of backlash.

Fans online provided plenty of negative reviews of the show, the likes of Eric Bischoff criticised the production elements of the episode, and it received quite a poor rating on Cagematch.net. It has now been learned what the higher ups at AMC thought of the show on the back of all this negativity.

According to PWInsider, the word going round in AMC is that the execs who were present at Thursday’s Impact show were “very happy” with how things turned out. Well, maybe the execs at AMC were major fans of Perez Hilton and Bully Ray, who knows.
