Andrade Challenges Kenny Omega To AAA Mega Title Match At TripleMania

A classic in the making?

Andrade appeared in a video during Saturday night's AAA Rey de Reyes event, and issued a challenge for Kenny Omega and his Mega championship at Triplemania.

In the video, Andrade stated that he had two challenges. One was for Psycho Clown, but his first was for Kenny Omega, and set Triplemania as the battleground.

No date has been set yet for Triplemania. Traditionally, the event takes place in August (as was the case from 2012 through 2019), though it was held in December last year, due to the pandemic.

Omega has reigned as Mega champion since October 19, 2019, though has only been able to defend the belt occasionally, due to present circumstances. He did retain the title at last year's Triplemania, defeating Laredo Kid.

Andrade has already signed for two other matches in his post-WWE run. He'll be part of a multi-man match at Federacion Wrestling's debut event on June 19, and will face Alberto El Patron at an event in Texas on July 31.

A week after requesting his release from WWE, the promotion let Andrade go on March 21.
