Andrade El Idolo Vs. Matt Sydal Announced For AEW Road Rager
Andrade's in-ring AEW debut
Andrade El Idolo will wrestle his first match for All Elite Wrestling next Wednesday night at the special "Road Rager" episode of Dynamite, going one on one with Matt Sydal.
The match stems from the Sydal brothers' entrance interrupting an apparent announcement from Andrade and Vickie Guerrero on the most recent Dynamite. Andrade never did make his announcement, as attention shifted to Matt Sydal's match with Dante Martin of Top Flight.
In a backstage promo on tonight's Dynamite, Andrade issued the match challenge to Sydal, proposing that they have it in Miami, putting the city over strong, as it gets to host his AEW debut.
The match will be Andrade's third since leaving WWE in March. He wrestled for two RGR Lucha Libre shows in California in mid-June.
Announced so far for AEW Road Rager, taking place Wednesday, July 7, at the Knight Center in Miami, is the following:
* Strap match: Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall
* Andrade El Idolo vs. Matt Sydal
NOTE: A Coffin Match pitting Ethan Page against Darby Allin was tentatively set for Road Rager, but is being moved to Fyter Fest.
