Former TNA star Sonjay Dutt is now working for All Elite Wrestling as a backstage producer, after recently leaving WWE, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.
Johnson reports that Dutt is backstage at tonight's AEW Dynamite taping in Jacksonville. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has corroborated the story.
Johnson also reports that Dutt is signed to AEW on a full-time deal.
Dutt previously worked for WWE, signing with the organization in January 2019 as a producer. Reports came out Tuesday that Dutt had left the company, after giving his notice several weeks ago.
In his time with WWE, Dutt worked as a producer for the NXT brand, and also served as a coach.
The 39-year-old Dutt has not wrestled since 2017, quietly retiring after sustaining an Achilles injury.
As a wrestler, Dutt was best known for his time in Total Nonstop Action between 2003 and 2009 (and later 2012-13). A staple of the company's X Division, Dutt held the X Division title on one occasion, and was part of the winning team in the 2006 World X Cup.
