Andrade Wanted WWE Match With Triple H

El Idolo vs. The Game could’ve been one for the ages

Despite leaving WWE behind him and migrating to AEW and AAA, there were still several missed opportunities during Andrade El Idolo’s WWE tenure.

Andrade’s main roster run did include a fantastic rivalry with Rey Mysterio, and now Andrade himself has revealed who else he wanted to face in the Fed:

“I would have liked to wrestle against Triple H in WWE,” said Andrade to Lucha Libre Online “I would have loved to wrestle him in a one-on-one match, but it never materialised. Things did not go our way, but I would have loved to wrestle against Triple H.” [TR: Luis Pulido

Whilst many had him pegged as a future World Champion and a worthy main eventer, WWE inserted Andrade firmly into the mid-card, never able to escape and reach the heights of his NXT run.

Now with a AAA Mega Championship showdown against Kenny Omega on the horizon, and a seemingly limitless AEW future ahead of him, it’s time Andrade played a new game, one which could easily see him become one of the biggest names in the industry.
