Andrade exited WWE over the last week, receiving his release from the promotion in a sudden and unexpected firing. Reports emerged over the next few days suggesting that Andrade had at least one Wellness Policy violation, and was also unable to be reached by WWE when they attempted to contact him.
There is no “non-compete clause” with Andrade’s release, as his first post-WWE date has been officially announced for two weeks time on October 3. The Crash made the announcement that Andrade will be appearing at their October 3 event which is set for Tijuana, Mexico at the Auditorio Fausto Gutierrez Moreno. No opponent has yet been announced for Andrade’s first match away from WWE.
When it comes to Andrade’s next steps in professional wrestling, he has been trading jibes on social media with AEW’s MJF. Reports also emerged that there were no bridges burned between AEW & Andrade, with his exit in 2023 being amicable, leaving at the end of his contract after having been heavily featured in the month leading up to his departure. When it comes to him signing with WWE, there was reportedly “buyer’s remorse” from WWE, who thought he’d have a similar buzz to Cody Rhodes & CM Punk upon returning.
