Angel Garza Sidelined From WWE Following Surgery
Angel Garza needed surgery on his wrist
Nov 3, 2024
Angel Garza has not competed in a WWE ring since the October 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown a couple of weeks ago where he and partner Berto lost to the debuting Motor City Machine Guns in a triple threat match which also included A-Town Down Under. This subsequent absence has been due to Garza being sidelined with an ailment.
In a post to Facebook, he revealed that he had undergone surgery in order to remove ganglion cysts in his wrist, and is set to undergo physical therapy in the near future. He provided some other updates in another post on Facebook, with one picture seeing him in hospital alongside his wife with the caption of “surgery day”. He also took to his Instagram stories to post some photos of his arm in a cast following the surgery.
He and Berto have been a semi-regular part of SmackDown’s tag team division in 2024. It was revealed earlier this year that Garza had re-signed with WWE. It isn’t currently known when he will be returning to WWE programming and how long recovery will take.
