Goldberg spearing Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam

Nic Nemeth FKA Dolph Ziggler was on the receiving end of one of Goldberg’s squash matches following his return to WWE and various returns to the ring over the next few years. At SummerSlam 2019, Nemeth lost in one minute and fifty seconds to the Hall Of Famer. Only Brock Lesnar and Kevin Owens lasted a shorter amount of time during Goldberg’s second spell in WWE.

Goldberg announced his retirement match over the weekend, stating that it would take place in 2025 and his opponent would likely be Gunther, though there was no confirmed date or opponent as of yet. Nemeth took to X to provide some booking advice, and seemingly some enmity towards Goldberg and his style of matches:

“On the bell, he spears & jackknife’s Gunther. G kicks out at 1. 3 minute match and good f’n riddance.”

In the replies, someone suggested Asuka as the one to finish off Goldberg, but Nemeth didn’t take kindly to this idea, responding, “Don’t you dare force that nonsense on our queen.”

Nemeth is currently the reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion, recently retaining his gold against Joe Hendry at the Bound For Glory event.
