Backstage News On Joe Hendry Not Winning The TNA World Title At Bound For Glory
More on Joe Hendry not winning the World Title at TNA Bound For Glory 2024
Oct 30, 2024
Heading into Bound For Glory, many expected the night to end with Joe Hendry as the new TNA World Champion, but this did not come to pass.
Indeed, Hendry was unsuccessful once more, losing to champion Nic Nemeth after being clotheslined by John Layfield. The decision not to crown Hendry has been decried by many fans online, but a report from Fightful Select suggests that TNA had decided at least two weeks back that Hendry would not be winning the title at Bound For Glory.
For fans the writing was on the wall when Hendry vs. Nemeth wasn’t the main event match of the evening, with that honour going to the triangle Full Metal Mayhem Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, with the decision to have The Hardys’ title triumph headline TNAs biggest show of the year made ‘weeks ago’.
Hendry is arguably TNA’s hottest star of 2024, with his viral theme song and antics, and prominent use in WWE NXT marking Hendry as a major asset for TNA, but for whatever reason now is not the time for Hendry to have the gold.
