Ted DiBiase Jr. has been given yet another new criminal trial date.

DiBiase Jr. was initially due to stand trial on July 16, when the original judge recused himself from the case (for reasons that were not made public). It was then re-scheduled for January 7, 2025, with a pre-trial hearing due on December 13.

However, it now looks as though Ted Jr. will stand trial on August 26 of next year.

The former WWE star was arrested in April 2023 on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds and four counts of money laundering.

Authorities allege that DiBiase Jr. (through two companies he owned and managed) entered into sham contracts to defraud the state of Mississippi out of money that was intended for needy families.

The government contends that he accepted payment for services that were not carried out and then spent the money on personal purchases, including a boat, vehicles and a down payment on a house.

If convicted on all charges, the 42-year-old could face a maximum of 45 years in prison and a million-dollar fine. He has previously pleaded not guilty.
