Former WWE talent Ted DiBiase Jr. will stand trial in early 2025.

The Mississippi Southern District Court has announced that DiBiase will go on trial on January 7, 2025 following a pre-trial hearing on December 13, 2024. DiBiase was originally set to go on trial in July 2024 but the previous judge recused himself from the case.

The third-generation wrestler was arrested in April 2023 on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, and four counts of money laundering.

It is alleged that DiBiase and his co-conspirators fraudulently obtained federal funds from the Emergency Food Assistance Program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program by entering into sham contracts for work that was never carried out. Court documents note that DiBiase used the money to make lavish purchases, including buying a boat, an automobile, and putting a deposit on a house.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion faces up to 45 years in prison and a $1 million fine. DiBiase has previously pleaded not guilty to all charges and he is out on bail.

The son of WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase, Ted DiBiase Jr. wrestled for WWE from 2007 until 2013. He is a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion with current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
