Apollo Crews Vs. Andrade US Title Match Added To WWE Backlash

Bringing the card to seven matches...

Andrade will be getting a rematch with the man he lost the United States title to, Apollo Crews, this Sunday at WWE Backlash.

Andrade defeated Kevin Owens and partner Angel Garza in a triple threat match on Monday's Raw to earn the shot, pinning Garza. Andrade stole the pin after Owens hit Garza with a Stunner. This led to friction between Andrade and Garza after the match, before Zelina Vega intervened.

Crews defeated Andrade on May 25 to win the US title, his first championship with the company. Previously, Andrade had reigned for five months with the belt, after defeating Rey Mysterio at a live event in Madison Square Garden the night after Christmas.

The updated card for WWE Backlash, scheduled for this Sunday at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, now looks like so:

*WWE World: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

*WWE Universal/Handicap match: Braun Strowman (c) vs. John Morrison and The Miz

*Raw Women's: Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax

*WWE Women's Tag Team: Bayley and Sasha Banks (c) vs. The IIconics vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

*WWE United States: Apollo Crews (c) vs. Andrade

*Edge vs. Randy Orton

*Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
