Ashley Massaro's Daughter: "The Things My Mother Faced During Her Years With WWE Were Real"

Ashley Massaro's daughter addresses allegations involving WWE

WARNING: This article contains an account of alleged rape.

Ashley Massaro's daughter Alexa has added her voice to the ongoing situation around her late mother's time in WWE, tweeting that "the things my mother faced during her years with WWE were real."

It was alleged in an affidavit released following Ashley Massaro's passing in May 2019 that she was injected with a paralysing drug and raped by an individual representing himself as a United States Army doctor during a WWE PR tour at a Kuwait army base in 2006. It was further alleged that WWE executives, including Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, told Massaro not to speak about the incident to preserve WWE's relationship with the armed forces.

Following the affidavit's release by Massaro's lawyer, WWE claimed they were not informed of the alleged incident and would have reported it immediately to the base commander if they had been told. In recent weeks, though, it has been claimed by John Laurinaitis' lawyer that WWE management did know about the allegations made by Massaro

Cara Pipia, claiming to be a friend of Ashley Massaro's on NewsNation, has also alleged that Stephanie McMahon knew about the rape allegations and WWE executives threatened Massaro over the situation.

Separate from this, Paul London has previously claimed that Massaro was harassed by Vince McMahon and a previously unreleased statement from Massaro has claimed she witnessed Vince McMahon "preying" on female WWE workers.

Ashley Massaro's daughter Alexa has since denied that Cara Pipia was a friend of Ashley's when she passed in May 2019 but Alexa did note "the things my mother faced during her years with WWE were real."

Alexa initially tweeted: "finally gained the courage to search my moms name and i see her ex bestfriend, the woman who has harassed me and my grandma since her passing/ has messaged family members AWFULLY mean things pretending to be me ect [sic] as the voice chosen to represent this . god help me.

"Cara Pipia wasnt even a friend of my mothers when she passed. she was an ex bestfriend who, since her passing, has just spam messaged me unsettling/ delirious messages and has fabricated bizarre messages etc etc."

Alexa then added: "for the record i didnt watch the video, i just wanted to put that out there. she(cara) could be correct, though, regardless of cara pipia being the last person my mom would want speaking on her behalf , the things my mother faced during her years with WWE were real."

Alexa later stated that speaking to the media about Ashley's situation is against the family's wishes, adding: "no one who supports the Massaro family (literally all thats remaining is me and my grandma barbara who i live with ANYWAYS) would go to the media or news outlets . they know its against our wishes , her mothers wishes. her mother as in ASHLEYS mother. my grandmother."

Alexa then wrote: "in that moment i couldve chosen to instead acknowledge how frustrating it is to see cara talk on behalf of my mom and move on with my day. i probably should’ve. please do not let what ive said complicate the current situation."

Rape allegations made by Ashley Massaro resurfaced following Vince McMahon's resignation as TKO Executive Chairman. The 78-year-old is under federal investigation for multiple allegations of sexual assault. McMahon's resignation came about after he was accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse by former WWE employee Janel Grant in a lawsuit that also named WWE and John Laurinaitis as defendants.
