Asuka Wins Raw Women's Title At WWE Night Of Champions

Asuka defeats Bianca Belair at WWE Night of Champions

Asuka is the new Raw Women's Champion!

The Empress of Tomorrow challenged Bianca Belair for the gold at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on Saturday, May 27. Asuka's mist has been a key feature since she turned heel earlier this month and the substance proved to be the decisive factor.

Asuka had failed to mist Belair earlier in the match but she later spat the mist onto her own hand. When Belair went for the KOD, Asuka rubbed the mist into her opponent's eyes which blinded the Raw Women's Champion. A few moments later and Asuka decked Belair with some brutal kicks before she covered The EST for the 1-2-3.

With Asuka's win, she becomes a four-time women's champion. She previously held the Raw Women's Title over two reigns between April 2020 and April 2021. She has also held the SmackDown Women's Title.

The win also ends Belair's reign as Raw Women's Champion after 420 days. She won the gold back at WrestleMania 38, defeating Becky Lynch.

The Belair-Asuka rivalry looks set to continue as Belair won their first clash at WrestleMania 39, while Asuka won tonight's match.
