Attempts To Remove Vince McMahon From WWE 2K24 Underway

Vince McMahon might be removed from WWE 2K24

Vince McMahon may end up being featured in WWE 2K24.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, attempts are underway to try and remove Vince McMahon from WWE's next console video game but it may not be possible to remove him in time depending on how deeply ingrained McMahon is in the title's various modes. WWE 2K24 is set to be released on March 8.

"They're trying to figure out a way to get him out of the video game, which may not be possible. And probably trying to figure out a way to erase him from history, which is completely impossible," Meltzer said.

This comes after Vince McMahon was accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse by former WWE employee Janel Grant in a lawsuit that also named John Laurinaitis and WWE as defendants. McMahon has since resigned as TKO Executive Chairman, although he remains under federal investigation

Brock Lesnar, while not named, was implicated in the Janel Grant lawsuit. He has since been removed from the WWE SuperCard digital collectable card game and the former WWE Champion is expected to be downplayed by 2K and WWE's other licensees. Lesnar has also been removed from any of WWE's creative plans.
