Backstage News On AEW Bringing Back Rob Van Dam

Rob Van Dam is coming back to AEW on Saturday's Collision

One month on from his AEW debut, Rob Van Dam will return to All Elite Wrestling on Saturday's edition of Collision. The WWE Hall of Famer is set to wrestle at the event, although his opponent has not been revealed.

There had been no hints that Van Dam would be returning to AEW this week and there appears to be a reason for that, with the man himself revealing that plans for his return came together very quickly.

Van Dam tweeted on Sunday: "To everyone asking about my status yesterday, I wasn't holding back. This is just how fast things happen sometimes. See you in Michigan!"

The September 23 edition of AEW Collision will emanate from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The venue is only a one-hour drive away from Van Dam's hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan. Other matches announced for Collision include Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks in a Texas Death Match, Andrade El Idolo vs. Jay White, and FTR vs. The WorkHorsemen for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

Van Dam's one and only match in AEW so far came on the August 8 edition of Dynamite where he unsuccessfully challenged Jack Perry for the FTW Championship.
