Backstage News On MJF's 'Steiner Math' Promo

MJF recognises greatness (particularly in himself), so it makes sense that he would pay tribute to Scott Steiner's infamous 'Steiner Math' promo on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

The current AEW World Champion did his own pre-taped version of a promo Big Poppa Pump cut to build his triple-threat match with Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe at TNA Sacrifice 2008.

Speaking with Insider, AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed that the promo was, in fact, MJF's own idea:

"That particular one was him. Wrestling is all about collaborations and I really enjoy having that connection and the ability to create stories. We were putting down ideas for the week's shows, and he did say that and it was a great idea. That's how I like to put stories together. Sit down with MJF and Adam Cole, the three of us, and talk. I've shot videos with the two of them and they have this great partnership," Khan said.

MJF will defend his title against Samoa Joe on this Wednesday's Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.
