Backstage News On Samantha Irvin's WWE Exit

A surprising announcement was made on Monday as Samantha Irvin revealed that she had finished up with WWE.

The popular ring announcer was not fired by WWE, with PWInsider reporting that Irvin ultimately resigned from the company and WWE found out early on Monday. There is currently no word on why Irvin decided to leave WWE.

Fightful Select noted there were many within WWE who were surprised by Irvin's announcement but those close to her claimed they knew she was planning to exit WWE for a month.

Others, meanwhile, said they expected Irvin to leave after Ricochet had his own WWE exit in June. Ricochet has since debuted in All Elite Wrestling and he is involved in the AEW International Title picture. Irvin and Ricochet have been engaged since January 2023.

Samantha Irvin received high praise within WWE and she thanked virtually everyone in the company within her departure announcement.

Samantha Irvin joined WWE in April 2021 and she initially worked on NXT before moving to the main roster in January 2022. Irvin was the SmackDown ring announcer before moving to Raw as part of the 2023 WWE Draft.
