Backstage News On Shocking Blood-Drinking Spot From AEW Texas Death Match At Full Gear

All you need to know about the blood-drinking spot from AEW Full Gear

All Elite Wrestling produced one of their bloodiest matches to date at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 18 as Hangman Adam Page faced off with Swerve Strickland in a Texas Death Match.

The match was a particularly gruesome affair, featuring Hangman Page stapling any part of Swerve Strickland's body he could get his hands on, barbed wire getting stuck to Hangman's face, and glass being smashed into Page's back. The moment that has received the most attention, though, was Hangman Page drinking Swerve's blood as it dripped from his head and then spraying it into the air like Triple H.

Fightful Select has reported the blood-drinking spot was planned and pitched by Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland. The moment was then approved by the match's producer. The internal reaction within AEW was one of happiness with how the match came together and was received.

One person who wasn't a fan of the match was Jim Cornette, who criticised Hangman for not hitting Swerve in the head with the staple gun. Strickland has since responded to Cornette's comments
