The April 28 edition of WWE NXT featured several debuts on the show, including Will Kroos, a former star of the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene.
Kroos made his debut in a segment with NXT Champion Tony D'Angelo which first saw former IWGP Heavyweight Champion EVIL interrupt D'Angelo and hand him the Japanese symbol of war. As EVIL made his way to the back and D'Angelo remained in the ring, Tavion Heights then made his return and laid out the NXT Champion. That wasn't all, though, as Will Kroos then made his way through the crowd and hit D'Angelo with a picture-perfect moonsault to bring the segment to an end.
Bodyslam has reported that only a select few people knew that Will Kross was going to make his debut on Tuesday night's episode of NXT. This included NXT management, producers, and talent involved in the segment.
Highlight reels of Will Kroos on the UK indies went viral following his WWE debut, and John Cena endorsed Kroos, tweeting out his chant of, "He's big, he's bad, he'll bodyslam your dad!"
Will Kroos took part in a WWE tryout ahead of SummerSlam 2025, with others from that tryout who signed with WWE being Lizzy Rain and Zoe Hines, the niece of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kroos finished up on the UK independent wrestling scene in late March and early April, facing tag team partner Rampage Brown in NORTH Wrestling and unsuccessfully challenging Jay Joshua for the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship at Epic Encounter 2026.
