Backstage News On WWE's Original Plans For Jade Cargill

Things may have changed, but WWE's original plans for Jade Carigll have been revealed.

WWE's original plans for Jade Cargill have been revealed, thanks to a report from PWInsider Elite - but her current status remains very much up in the air.

Firstly, the report states:

"Jade Cargill has not been officially assigned to a main roster brand as of this writing. The original plan many months ago was Raw but that could have always changed."

Jade made her first WWE onscreen appearance during the Fastlane pre-show on October 7 2023, with her AEW contract expiring a few weeks prior. In subsequent weeks, she made brief appearances on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, without ever revealing which brand she intended to sign for.

Although the above report indicates that Raw was Cargill's likeliest destination, she then disappeared from our screens, with Triple H later revealing (at the post-Survivor Series press conference) that she was still working out kinks in developmental.

This surprised many, given the way Jade was pushed as a featured star in AEW, enjoying a 508-day reign as the inaugural TBS Champion.

However, Cargill did then make a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble a couple of weeks ago, perhaps implying that she's closer to a TV debut than we may have feared. She entered at number 28 and picked up three very significant eliminations (Nia Jax, Becky Lynch and the returning Naomi) before being eliminated herself by Liv Morgan.
