WWE held their first set of tapings for WWE EVOLVE on Friday, February 7 and an interesting name will be on commentary for the series.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Peter Rosenberg - who has been a WWE pre-show panellist for several years - was at the announce table for WWE EVOLVE. Who the other commentators on the show were is currently unknown.
PWInsider further noted that between two and three episodes were taped on February 7 and featured a mix of WWE ID talents, wrestlers previously seen on NXT Level Up, WWE Performance Center trainees, and NXT wrestlers. Some of the wrestlers will be permanent fixtures on WWE EVOLVE.
The new series was taped at a much smaller part of the WWE Performance Center to NXT. The shows were taped in front of two rows of dimly lit fans on each side, with the second row being raised slightly. Fans in attendance consisted of 90 per cent friends and family to prevent spoilers from being leaked. WWE also banned those in attendance from taking photos as another measure to stop spoilers.
WWE EVOLVE will premiere on Tubi in the United States on March 5 and the show will air every Wednesday at 8 pm ET. The next set of EVOLVE tapings, which will introduce the EVOLVE Championship, are scheduled to be held at the WWE Performance Center on February 21.
